2+2 Program

The College of Education and Human Development provides LSU Eunice students majoring in Elementary Education, Grades 1-5, with an opportunity to earn a baccalaureate degree on the LSUE campus while becoming an official graduate of the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.

Under the 2+2 Program, freshman and sophomore courses are provided at LSU Eunice and junior and senior courses are provided at UL Lafayette. After all requirements for the 2+2 Program have been met, students will receive their official diploma from UL Lafayette and participate in the College of Education and Human Development commencement at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.

LSU Eunice students must apply for admission and be formally admitted into the University of Louisiana at Lafayette prior to taking any courses provided by UL Lafayette. In addition, students must meet the program requirements prior to enrolling in any 300-400 level professional education courses labeled EDCI, EDFL, IRED, READ, or SPED which are all courses necessary to earn a degree and an initial teacher certification. EDCI 308 and SPED 391 are exceptions to this rule.
