Prospective Students

The UL Lafayette College of Education and Human Development is one to the top provider of teachers for the state of Louisiana. We offer undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral programs within our departments and the School of Kinesiology.

Schools and health care providers across the state know our reputation, and they make sure to hire Ragin' Cajun grads. We want you to have the skills and the knowledge to help effect change in the classroom as a teacher or school administrator, in clinical settings as a counselor, or in hospitals and stadiums as a kinesiology professional.

Here, we focus on research that keeps us at the forefront of our fields. The U.S. Department of Education has recognized our innovative coursework, which includes enhanced clinical experiences. We teach across disciplines so you have the skills you need for classrooms and clinics, as well as the knowledge to be a responsible, active citizen who cares about your community and your world. We believe in learning by doing and we provide a mix of practical theory and hands-on experience that prepares you to make an impact.

If you want to see for yourself what we're all about, you can set up a tour with UL Lafayette Admissions. Better yet, we encourage you to attend our annual on-campus event, Preview Day, which is when we have our most comprehensive tours of the College of Education and Human Development.
