Teacher Residency Application

All candidates who are anticipating Phase I of the Teacher Residency in the upcoming semester must attend the Phase I Teacher Residency meeting held by the Office of Teacher Clinical Experiences each semester. It is mandatory for all candidates to complete and submit the Teacher Residency application before the Teacher Residency application meeting.

A candicate must meet all requirements for the Phase I Teacher Residency. Upon successful completion of all requirements for the Teacher Residency, the Dean’s office will send notification to the Office of Teacher Clinical Experiences of all candidates who are eligible to enter Phase I of the Teacher Residency. The Director of Teacher Clinical Experiences then will notify all teacher interns via email of their assignment.

A teacher intern is required to have a variety of field experiences in diverse settings. Therefore, an intern’s placement in the schools is based on their prior field experiences and consideration is given to travel distance.
